At one time in the match played in Brisbane, the Windies were to score 4 runs off the 3 balls of the last over. Then Poonam Yadav took 2 wickets for 1 run and made the match in the name of India. India won the toss and scored 107 runs for the first 8 wickets. In response, the Windies team could score only 105 runs after losing 7 wickets. Lee Ann Kirby scored the highest for the West Indies with 42, Hailey Matthews 25 and Chinle Henry 17. Poonam Yadav took 3 wickets from India, while Shikha Pandey, Deepti Sharma and captain Harampreet Kaur got 1-1 wickets.
