Virat said- Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Bumrah bowling well in T20
Indian captain said – If Shami makes necessary changes for T20, then he can be useful for the team.
Dainik BhaskarDec 05, 2019, 07:23 PM IST Sports Desk. Indian captain Virat Kohli said on Thursday that for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia, there is now only one fast bowler in the team. Kohli has indicated by such a statement that the pace bowlers are almost certain to replace Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami.
He said, the fight is over an empty space. Three fast bowlers have confirmed their place. There is good competition for the fourth bowler. It will be interesting to see who gets the chance.
Virat said- having options in fast bowling is good for the team
Virat said, "The option in fast bowling is not a problem. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaspreet Bumrah are experienced bowlers. Both are consistently bowling well in T20 cricket. Deepak Chahar has just come into the team and he is also better. Shami has also been bowling brilliantly since his return. If he finds the rhythm and makes the necessary changes for T20 cricket then he can be of great use to the team in Australia. Especially his ability to take wickets with a new ball and throw a yorker with a good pace will strengthen the bowling attack. "
Shami played the last international T20 match in 2017. Bhuvi is returning from a muscle injury. He played his last T20 against the West Indies in August this year.
