In the last Test ranking of the year released on Monday, he stood first with 928 points. Australia's Steve Smith (911) got second and New Zealand's Kane Williamson (822) got the third position. Virat held the number one position for the most number of 274 days this year. Among the bowlers, Australia's Pat Cummins is the first and Neil Wegner of New Zealand is the second position. Cummins was number one for 321 days in a year.

Four of the top twenty batsmen are Indians. Cheteshwar Pujara reached number five with a loss of one place, Ajinkya Rahane retained the 7th position and Mayank Agarwal retained the 12th position. Rohit Sharma rose to number 13 with the advantage of two positions.

Labushane reached career best ranking
