Fast bowler Pradeep was not selected due to Injri while Shehan Jayasuriya has been ruled out. However, Sri Lanka's performance against India in T20 has not been good. 6 bilateral series have been played between the two so far. Team India won 5 series. One series remained equal. That is, the Sri Lankan team has not been able to win the series till now.

16 matches have been played between the two so far. 11 matches have been won by Team India while 5 matches have been won by Sri Lanka. If Team India wins all the three matches of the series then it will become the team to win the most 14 matches against Sri Lanka.
