Kolkata Knight Riders lost by 9 wickets to Mumbai Indians in a match of equation that will get play-off play tickets. So Shah Rukh Khan's party got off in the Indian Premier League (IPL) league phase. Shahrukh's team failed to get into playoffs due to the defeat of Bangladeshi star Shakib Al Hasan in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Kings XI Punjab defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in the second match of the day. South Africa's Faf du Plessis batted first with a score of 55 runs in 10 fours and four sixes in 96 balls and Suresh Raina smashed 53 off 38 balls, with Chennai going for 170 runs in five overs.
Opener Lokesh Rahul scored 36 runs off 36 balls with Chris Gayle 28 and Nicholas Purana 36 runs in 12 balls remaining Punjab won the rest of the match. The best of the match, Rahul scored seven fours and five sixes in his innings.
Of course Shakib is not playing in the room. As part of preparations for the World Cup, he left the IPL a few days ago and joined the Bangladesh team. He is now in Ireland to play the tri-series.
