She won the doubles of the Hobart International tournament with Ukraine partner Nadia Kitchenock. They beat Georgia's Oksana Kalashnikova and Miyu Kato of Japan 2-6, 7-6, 10-3. The match lasted 1 hour and 41 minutes. With this victory, Sania-Nadia pair reached the quarterfinals.
Sania, a six-time Grand Slam winner, was married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik on 12 April 2010 in Hyderabad. In October 2018, Sania gave birth to a son. Sania last played at the China Open in October 2017. His best single ranking is 27, which he achieved in 2007. Sania is number 1 in the doubles rankings.

Sania's return has not been easy
Prior to the tournament, Sania told Bhaskar in an interview that she is very excited to come back after a long gap. He had said, "I will participate in the tournament for the first time after becoming a mother." I am now practicing for about five hours a day with a tennis ball. I have paid a lot of attention to diet after pregnancy. I initially removed sugar from my diet. But I believe in meditation, so to tell the truth, I eat everything I like. "
Sania says that there is no fixed sleeping pattern or time due to the child. Despite this, she gets up at 7 am. She used to gym for about five hours every day. There was about 100 minutes of cardio exercise, then an hour of kick boxing. Sania used to do Pilates (a type of exercise that is done to make the body flexible and muscles strong) for about an hour.
