Dainik BhaskarJan 15, 2020, 06:22 PM IST Sports Desk. Prithvi Shaw is set to join the India-A team in New Zealand after recovering from a shoulder injury. They will also leave for the next two days. Giving information about this, a BCCI official told the news agency, "Prithvi Shaw will either leave for New Zealand on Thursday or Friday. He has been declared fully fit. "
To overcome this injury, Shaw enlisted the help of the National Cricket Academy. Earlier on January 3, he fell during an Ranji Trophy match against Karnataka in an attempt to prevent overthrow and suffered a shoulder injury. For this reason, he could not leave for the tour of New Zealand with India-A team on 10 January. His MRI scan was done as a precaution.
Prithvi scored a century in the first Ranji Trophy match of the season
India-A team will play 3 ODIs and 2 four-day matches on New Zealand tour. Shaw is part of both these teams. Prithvi, who returned last month after an 8-month ban due to doping, is in good form. The opener scored a century against Baroda in the first Ranji Trophy match of the season for Mumbai.
My favorite sound. The sound when the ball hits the middle of my bat. Superb net sessions going on. pic.twitter.com/Iw8bUJXE4N
