Bangladesh team will return home after playing first Test match, will return in April
Dainik BhaskarJan 15, 2020, 01:08 PM IST Sports Desk. According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Bangladesh team has also agreed to play Test series on upcoming Pakistan tour. This was decided in a meeting between the board presidents of the two countries in Dubai. After the revised schedule, Bangladesh will play three T20s, one ODI and two Test matches there. The tour will begin with the first T20 to be held in Lahore on 23 January. The remaining two matches of the series will be played on 25 and 27 January.
The first Test match of the series will be played between the two countries from February 7 onwards after the T20 series is over. After this match, Pakistan will host PSL (Pakistan Super League). During this time, Bangladesh's team will remain at home. After the tournament is over, the only ODI match of the series will be played in Karachi on April 3 between the two countries and then the second Test match of the series will be held in Karachi from April 5 to 9. Both these matches will be played under the World Test Championship.
Favor Money thanked ICC President
Earlier on Sunday, Bangladesh government had advised its team to play only T20 series in Pakistan. But after the meeting between PCB chairman Ehsan Money and BCB chairman Najmul Hasan in Dubai, the test series was also agreed. The meeting was arranged by ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar. Giving information about this, PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said, 'I am happy that we together decided to make a decision which is not only for this great game but also in the interest of both cricketing nations. Along with this, I would also like to thank ICC President Shashank Manohar for providing me with a brilliant leadership.
