Irfan Pathan could only play five matches in IPL from 2016
Six teams will participate in the Caribbean Premier League, May 22 auction
Sports desk Fast bowler Irfan Pathan will be billed at the auction of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the T20 league played in West Indies. Pathan is the first Indian to join CPL auction They were included in the draft of 536 players from 20 countries prepared for the auction. CPL plays teams of Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warrior, Jamaica Tawlawas, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriot, St. Lucia Stars and Trinbago Knight Riders.
The list of players has been sent to all the teams before the auction on May 22. If a team bought 34-year-old Pathan, he would be the first Indian to play in this league. CPL Operation Director Michael Hall expressed happiness over taking part in a large number of players in the auction.
Pathan did not play in IPL for two years
Pathan could not take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the last two seasons. Last played for Gujarat Lions in 2017. Then they got an opportunity to play in just one match. In 2016, he played only 4 matches for Pune Superjents.
