As of now, his name has not been formally announced but he has been named as a batting coach on the team website. Jaffer has recently played his 150th match in the Ranji Trophy. Earlier he used to play for Mumbai but now this batsman is representing Vidarbha.

Now he has been introduced in the same way on the Kings XI Punjab team website. Recently he played his 150th Ranji Trophy match against Andhra Pradesh.
