Sathian 30th in senior category, Achanta Sharath Kamal 33rd in ITTF ranking

He has climbed 9 places to the first position in the latest released rankings of the International Table Tennis Federation. He is the first Indian to do so. Manav also became the top-ranked player in the Under-18s two years ago. He was then the first Indian to become the world's No.1 player in any age group.

In the ITTF rankings, Sathian is ranked 30th in the senior category, while Achanta Sharath Kamal is ranked one place at 33rd. At the same time, Manika Batra, the country's top player in women, is ranked 61.
Fourth Indian to win Manav International level U-21 tournament
The 19-year-old table tennis player won the Under-21 ITTF Challenge Plus tournament held in Canada in December last year. In the title match, he defeated Martin Bentenker 11–3, 11–5,11–6. He is the fourth Indian to win an international level Under-21 tournament. Earlier, Harmeet Desai, G. Sathian and Soumyajit Ghosh have done so.
