Keeping in mind the 2024 and 2028 Olympics, the Fencing Federation will set up performance centers in 50 districts across the country. Sports material worth 5-5 lakhs will be made available in each center. Apart from this, the Sports Ministry is going to open 7 High Performance Centers. Each center will house 75 to 150 players. A budget of 9 crore rupees has been received for this. 3 centers will start from 1 April. Apart from this, 6 foreign coaches will also be placed. Indian women's fencing player Bhavani Devi is currently ranked number 44 in the world rankings. He is yet to play two World Championships.

If she makes it to the top-34, she will qualify for the Olympics. Fencing consists of three types of events EP, Foil and Saber. Till now every year, apart from one national in senior category, Federation Cup is organized. But the Federation will now hold three more ranked championships. In the National Championship, four players from each state will be able to take part in every event. At the same time, 8-8 players will be given a chance in the ranking tournament.

The boys and girls at the Nadiad Center will have three high performance centers at Trainingpatiala, Pune and Nadiad starting from April 1. Girls from both categories will be trained in Girls in Patial, Boys in Pune and Girls-Boys in Nadiad. 25 players from EP, Foil and Saber all three categories will be given place in the center. That means there will be 75 to 150 players in each center. Four other centers are to be opened in MP, Aurangabad, Imphal and Kerala. Each center will cost three to three crores. In addition, junior and senior players will be sent on the exposure tour. A budget of Rs 4.5 crore has been approved.
