On the second day of the tournament, the male runners won gold and silver, while the female athlete won silver and bronze. India is second in the tournament with 21 medals, including 6 gold. The host is at the top with 28 medals.
Ajay Kumar Saro won gold for India. He completed the 1500 meter race in 3.54.18 seconds. Second runner Ajit Kumar completed the race in 3.57.18 time and won the silver medal. At the same time, among women, Chanda (4.34.51 time) took silver and Chitra (4.35.46 time) took bronze. Sri Lanka's Ug Kuburalge (4.34.34 time) won the gold.
