Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will ring the bell at the Eden Gardens to signal the start of the test
Bangladesh team to play three T20 and two Test series from November 3 on India tour
Dainik BhaskarOct 23, 2019, 11:18 AM IST Sports Desk. A series of three T20s and two Tests are to be played from November 3 between India and Bangladesh. The first Test of the series (14-18 November) will be played in Indore and the second Test (22-26 November) in Kolkata. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also come to see the second Test to be held at the Eden Gardens. The process of calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Eden has also been initiated. The Indian team will be selected for the series on Thursday.
According to Sourav Ganguly, Hasina will ring the bell at the Eden Gardens to signal the start of the test. At the same time, angry players from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have refused to come to India for their 11 demands. This has clouded the series on crisis.
Controversy between Bangladesh Cricket Board and players
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said in a press conference on 21 October that if our 11 demands were not met, then all the players would not play in any series. The board recently issued an order stating that every team participating in the Bangladesh Premier League would have to have at least one leg-spinner in the playing-11. The dispute started after this order.
