Nepal clinches second with 101 medals at South Asian Games
7 Indians reach the final in badminton, Kartik gets gold in the triple jump of athletics

India has so far won 125 medals in the Games including 63 Gold, 41 Silver and 21 Bronze. Host Nepal is second with 101 medals. The weightlifting event commenced on Thursday. Indian players won four gold on the first day.
The Asian Championship silver medalist Jhile Dalebehra won the gold by lifting 151 kg in the 45 kg category. In the 49kg category, 18-year-old Sneha Soren lifted 157 kg and topped. Commonwealth gold medalist Sorokhaibam Devi in 55 kg weighed 181 kg and Siddhant Gogoi lifted gold by lifting 264 weight in 61 kg category.
India gets 26 medals in athletics
Seven Indian players have reached the final in badminton. In the triple jump of athletics, Karthik won the gold while Mohammad Salahu won the silver. Shiva Anbarasi won the silver medal in the women's category. Indian athletes have so far won 26 medals including 10 gold in athletics. The matches are due by 10 December. There are 2715 players from 7 countries.
