The color of the jersey will remain white, there will be no change in it

Dubai. Now in test matches, like the ODIs and T20, players will have their name and jersey number written on the jersey. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved such changes in this format of cricket to make the test more popular.

This decision of ICC will be applicable in all the Test series.

Two days earlier this change was approved for the Ashes series between Australia and England in August. Now the ICC has decided to implement it in all the series.

India now have to play Test series against the West Indies in August. In this, the players can see wearing such changed test jerseys. However, the jersey color will remain white.

ICC General Manager Claire Felag said, "This will be effective from August 1, with the World Test Championship." The championship will start from July 15, 30 April 2021. The final will be in June 2021.

The British newspaper Guardian had recently said that the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia presented the proposal in this regard. The ICC board was yet to be sealed.

Recently ICC President Shashank Manohar said in the statement that Test cricket is ending. He said, "We are trying to see if the test championship can create adventures?"

ICC CEO David Riderson said, "To say his (Manohar) was meant that Test cricket is looking more competitive. Yes, there are some prestigious competitions that happen from time to time. '
