The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has sent both players Kuldeep Yadav and Lakshya Thareja home. No FIR was lodged in the police regarding the case. Currently, DDCA President Sanjay Bhardwaj has reached Kolkata to look into the matter.
The Delhi team has a match against Bengal under the CK Naidu Trophy on Saturday. Batsman Thareja has also represented Delhi's A team. He has also scored a half-century. At the same time, fast bowler Kuldeep got a chance in place of Ishant Sharma. He was included in the team for the match against Punjab in Ranji.
'DDCA must wait for action'
A senior DDCA official said, "Two players will not play a match against Bengal on Saturday. Both have been sent home for serious violations. The players abused the lady staffer who came to the hotel room door. Both were identified by CCTV footage. They are happy that the police team did not complain due to the Delhi team's apology to the hotel authority. Now we should wait for the action of DDCA. "
