The pair were defeated by Marx Fernaldi and Kevin Sanjaya of Indonesia. The top-seeded Indonesian pair defeated Satwik and Chirag 21-16, 22-20. Earlier in the quarter-finals, the Indian pair defeated Li Jun Hui and Liu Yu Chen of China 21-19, 21-15.
The Indian pair have played eight matches against the Indonesian pair so far. Both did not win a single victory. They lost this match in 40 minutes. The Indian challenge ended in the tournament with their defeat. Earlier, Sai Praneeth, Parupalli Kashyap, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu have been eliminated from the tournament after losing their respective matches.
