Boxer Mary Kom quarterfinals of Women's World Boxing Championships | In the Mary Kom quarterfinal, one win away from the world record; Defeated Thailand's Jitpong 5-0

Boxer MC Mary Kom will win a match and secure a record 8th medal in the World Championship.
So far, Mary Kom in the women's category and Felix Sevan of Cuba in the men's category won 7-7 medals.

Mary Kom beat Jutamas Jitpong of Thailand 5–0 in the pre-quarterfinals of the World Championship. Even though Jitpong hit a good punch on Mary Kom, Mary Kom won the experience and won.

In the men's category, Felix Sevan of Cuba won six gold, 1 silver and in the women's category Mary Kom won 7 medals including 6 gold, 1 silver. This is the overall record.

Maricom will take on Colombia's Ingrit Valencia in the quarter-finals against Ingrit Valencia in the quarter-finals. If Mary Kom wins the next round, then she will be awarded a medal and confirmed. This will be the eighth medal of Mary Kom. Till date, no player has won eight medals in the men's and women's categories at the World Championships. In the 75 kg weight category, former Silver Medalist Sweety Boora lost out.
