Sources associated with the BCB told the news agency that Ganguly sent names to the Bangladesh Cricket Board after seeing the availability of the players. The BCB had demanded from the BCCI that it should send the names of Indian players for T20 matches early. So that the team of Asia-XI can be prepared on time. Initially, the team had doubts about who would play in it. Because Pakistani players are also an important part of cricket of the subcontinent. In such a situation, if he becomes part of the Asia XI team, then there could be trouble. Because India-Pakistan relations are not good at this time. However, BCCI assistant secretary Jayesh George made it clear that Pakistan players have not been invited for this match.
PCB said in clarification – it is not a matter of giving preference to India
He said that according to the information we have received, there will be no Pakistani player in Asia-XI. So there is no question that the two countries are playing together or the other is preferred over the other. ”On this, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in its clarification that it is not a matter of giving preference to India but The time when these matches are to be held. Pakistani players will not be available at that time. Because they will be playing in Pakistan Super League.
PCB said- We told BCB its problem
Two T20 matches will be played between Asia and World-XI from March 16 to 20, while the current season of PSL ends on March 22. The dates of both series cannot be changed. So we told BCB in writing that we will not take part in it. This was also accepted by BCB. It is really unfortunate that the facts were twisted, causing Pakistan fans to be hurt.
