Board gave 25 players place in new central contract
new Delhi. The BCCI released its Central Contract List on Thursday night. In this, Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who are facing poor form, have been dropped out of the highest grade-A plus. The promotion of Rishabh Pant for the best performance on England and Australia tour has been done. They were included in grade A from Grade B
This year, compared to 26 players last year, the BCCI gave 25 players a place in the contract. Under the contract, players are given a grant of Rs. 7 crores annually for Grade A Plus. Grade-A players get Rs 5 crore, Grade-B gets Rs 3 crore and Grade-C gets Rs 1 crore annually.
After Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar are out, now in the Grade A Plus, only Captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and all three format Jaspreet Bumrah are left. Most players are kept in Grade-A. It includes Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. Apart from Rishabh Pant in the younger players, leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also been kept in Grade A.
