Bangladesh Under-16 cricket team has started with a three-match ODI series win. The hosts lost to Pakistan by a huge margin of 89 runs in the first one-day international at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Saturday.
Mahfouz contributed 66 runs for the bat and took two wickets for 31 runs in the Bangladesh team. Bangladesh U-16 team scored 228 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. The touring Pakistan U-16 team went down to 139 runs in just 41.4 overs with the best bowling performance for 229 runs to win. Bangladesh won the three-match series 1-0 after the win.
Mushfiqur Hasan and Azizul Haque Rony took two wickets each for the Bangladesh Under-16 team without rabbi. The second and third ODIs will be held in the same venue on May 13 and 15 respectively. Earlier, Bangladesh team won the three-day match series 1-0 by 1-0.
