Indian Air Force Championships went to 16 medals, out of which 10 gold medals
Apurvi Chandela qualified for the final but missed the medal
Taipei (Taiwan) Indian shooter Diyansh Singh Panwar and Elavanil Vallarivan won gold medals of men's and women's 10 meter air rifle men's Asian Airgun Championship here on Sunday. 17-year-old Diyanash scored 249.7 in the final. At the same time, 19-year-old Elavanil secured first place with a score of 250.5. In this tournament India has 10 gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
Woman's 10 meter air rifle silver medal won by Tai Ying-Shin of Taipei. He scored 250.2. Korea's Park was successful in winning the Bronze medal with a score of 229.1. For the finals of this event, Indian shooters Apurvi Chandela and Meghna Sajjanar were also successful in qualifying, but both missed out on winning the medal. Apurvi scored a score of 207.8. They stayed at number four. Meghna was able to score only 143.3, she had to be satisfied with the seventh place.
Kim Dazin of Korea won the Men's 10 meter air rifle silver medal with 247.4 points. His compatriot Shin Minky was successful in winning a bronze with a score of 225.5. Indian shooters Ravi Kumar and Deepak Kumar also qualified for this event's final. However, they also failed to win the medal. Ravi scored 204.8 and finished fourth. Deepak is able to score 164.1 They stayed in sixth place.
