Chennai team coach Stephen Fleming has also confirmed that Jadhav will no longer play with the team. Fleming has said that Jadhav is working with Indian team physiotherapist Patrick Farhat, so that he can fit before the scheduled time for the World Cup. According to Farhat, Jadhav will be fit on 22 May before the Indian team leaves for England.

India have to play their first World Cup match in South Africa on June 5. If Jadhav can not fit, then the selector can choose from 5 alternative players Rishabh Pant, Ambati Rayudu, Akshar Patel, Navdeep Saini and Ishant Sharma.
