The BCCI said on Monday that 73 players are to be bought in the auction to be held in Kolkata on December 19. For this, bids will be made for 215 capped, 754 uncapped and 2 players from associate countries. Franchisee teams have a scheduled time of 5 pm on December 9 to shortlist the players.

A total of 73 vacant lots are to be filled by auction. Their auction will include 215 players who have played international cricket, while 754 players who could not play internationally so far have also registered for the first time. Apart from these, 2 players are from Associate Nations.

Players of every category get registered
19 players who have played international cricket from India have registered, while the number of players who do not play international cricket is 634. Also, there are 60 such Indian players who have not played international cricket, but have played at least one IPL match. These include 19 in the capped category, 634 in uncapped, and 60 players playing at least one IPL match. 196 players who have played international cricket in foreign category have registered for the upcoming season of IPL. At the same time, there are 60 such foreign players, who have not played at the international level yet. These include 196 capped players and 60 uncapped players.
